Ledaig 10 yo Artist #5 cask 900179 60.4%

Hello, my little malty-mono-Mull maniacs! Tonight we have quite unusual Mull inhabitant - Ledaig 10 yo dressed in the height of latest Paris fashion.

Ledaig 10 yo 2004/2015 LMDW Artist #5 cask 900179 60.4% - a few more words in a row and that could be Hadrone Collider formula...

Nose: lots and lots of sherry influence. Nice combination of smoked ham and strawberries. Whiffs of chocolate spreading out of the humidor. Perhaps it's not what you expect from 10 yo Ledaig, though interesting anyway.

Taste: bursting with smoke and fruits. It's completely made by this very sherry cask. After a few weeks in a bottle the body became more rounded and harmonious.

Finish: long and again totally driven by sherry cask.

Overall: very powerful juicy Ledaig. If you're purist and stick to classic Ledaig style then you could possibly consider skipping this one. In case sherry maturation is ok for you and you prefer Lagavulin DE over 16 yo, then you should try it. Really improves with time, 86 - 87/100 when tasted fresh, after a while it's 88/100.

Score: 22 22 22 22, 88/100!
