As Serge says "after 1976, 1968 was another great vintage at Benriach…". So let's give a try, it's Friday the 13-th after all.
Benriach 37 yo 1968/2006 Duncan Taylow Rare Auld cask #2597 48.6% - already 10 years passed after it was bottled so me way consider it as a relatively old release.
Nose: very fresh and fruity, honey pollen, citrus, black currant, all kind of yellow and pink tropical fruits, just delicious!
Taste: nice arrival on fruits and spices, creaminess, hints of oak but not that much.
Finish: long and fruity, it's actually all about fruits.
Overall: great old Benriach, except for slight soapiness on a palate it's just perfect. Good rival for this 37 yo Benriach, they're both on my personal Benriach pedestal.
Score: 24 22 23 23, 92/100!
