A pair of SMWS Glenlossies: 46.47 Mexican Breakfast and 46.49 Mango Colada

Sweet and grassy profile should be perfect to be enjoyed during vacation.

Nose: sweet and grassy, mango and tropical fruits, ripe pear, then fruity side diminishes and leaves more spices in the foreground.

Taste: hot and spicy (which is not surprising if we check the strength), ginger and chilli, hot tomato sauce, you can serve it with sausages and beans :)

Finish: long, grassy, cloves, pepper and touch of bitter chocolate at the very end.

Overall: well, I really liked this very combination of sweet grassiness and exotic spices, should pay more attention to Glenlossies I presume.

Score = 22 21 22 22, 87/100!

Glenlossie 1992 SMWS 46.49 Mango Colada 52.5% - finished in "virgin heavy toast medium char oak hogshead" after 23 years in ex-bourbon barrel.

Nose: wow, even more fruits here - mint, strawberry with cream, ripe peaches, all kind of tropics (mango, pineapple, bananas) and nuts. Delicious nose.

Taste: sweet and coating, baked bananas and milk chocolate.

Finish: long and fresh, minty notes with touch of milk chocolate.

Overall: that is a perfect dessert whisky!

Score = 23 22.5 22 22.5, 90/100!

Glenlossie 1992 SMWS 46.49 Mango Colada 52.5% and Glenlossie 2002 SMWS 46.47 Mexican Breakfast 59.8%
