Why not taste some new malts on Friday evening?.. That was rhetorical question of course :)
Glendronach 14 yo 2002/2016 single cask #1504 55.5% - that is batch #14 already in single cask series, matured in PX sherry puncheon.
Nose: thick, thick sherry, sweet dark fruits, chocolate, cane sugar - all you can expect from PX cask
Taste: sweet and creamy, intense, a bit spicy.
Finish: long, fruity sweetness combined with chocolate and even some earth and coffee notes.
Overall: not so cheap, but very good malt for its age.
Score = 22 22 22 22, 88/100!
Bunnahabhain 25 yo 1988/2013 LMDW Artist #3 cask #1875 56.3% - 279 bottles out of a hogshead, usually Bunnahabhain at this age is matured in sherry casks, should be interesting.

Nose: fragrant, delicate, floral, a bit mineral, candies and lollipops dominate after some time :)
Taste: unusual, fruity and candied with only lightest trace of peat.
Finish: medium-long, creamy and tad sour.
Overall: 25 years in hogshead created unusual character, actually here you taste the spirit as it is, no sherry influence involved which is a standard for aged Bunnas. Though I like it.
Score = 22 22 21 22, 87/100!
Glen Garioch 21 yo 1993/2015 Maltbarn #38 52.5% - 142 bottles released, bourbon cask maturation.

Nose: mineral, sharp (in a good way), salty with touch of smoke. Yep, right image at the label.
Taste: creamy, grassy, lemon cake (we're lucky today with candies and cakes) and salty pebbles.
Finish: long, lemons and custard, some oak as well.
Overall: fresh and mouth-watering Glen Gariogh, I'll grap one bottle...
