Glen Keith 20 yo DD vs Glen Keith 21 yo TWA

Both Daily Dram and The Whisky Agency are very nice bottlers which makes this comparison a fight :)

Glen Keith facts:

1. Belonging to Chivas Brothers Glen Keith is considered to be a modern distillery (opened in 1958).

2. Was silent since 2000, reopened in 2013, production capacity increased from 3.5 to 6 mln ltrs.

3. Glen Keith is closely connected to located nearby and also Chivas owned iconic Strathisla: new make Strathisla spirit is poured into casks on Glen Keith for instance.

Glen Keith 20 yo 1991/2012 Daily Dram 54.2% - the Nectar of Daily Drams bottling serie which is usually quite good.

Nose: light one, a bit grassy with touch of lime and sweet vanilla. Fresh and sour. With water you get more honey.

Taste: quite bitter and sharp developing on lemon peels, cherries. With water tastes better (not so sharp).

Finish: medium-long, spicy, oaky and waxy with notes of grapefruit and ginger.

Overall: nice combo of bitter citrus, sweet honey and astringent oak. Water is recommended.

Score = 21 21 22 22, 86/100!

Glen Keith 20 yo 1991/2012 Daily Dram 54.2%

Glen Keith 21 yo 1992/2013 The Whisky Agency 51.4% - Old times diving series (TWA is doing lots of different series, don't know how they invent the names).

Nose: is that Braes of Glenlivet 22 yo Mba?.. :) Very similar profile: bitter and sweet, grassy and lemony, fresh needles, sweet vanilla and ripe pear. With water some apples appear.

Taste: fruit cocktail with unexpected notes of Borodinsky bread (English word for it is caraway bread).

Finish: long, grassy and spicy, sweet liquorice and dill water,  mint, nice oak and wax as well.

Overall: great malt with unusual accents! Would seek for a bottle I'm afraid...

Score = 23 22 23 22, 90/100!

Glen Keith 21 yo 1992/2013 The Whisky Agency 51.4%
