Young and almost unpronounceable Diageo distillery with so few official releases.
Founded in 1974 Auchroisk distillery is mainly focused on producing spirit for J&B blends.
Their first single malt whisky was released in 1986 under Singleton brand which (the brand) was afterwards transferred to 3 other Diageo distilleries: Glendullan (mainly for American market), Glen Ord (Asian market) and Dufftown (European market).
In 2001 Auchroisk Flora and Fauna 10 yo was launched as a replacement for Singleton.
Nose: all kinds of nuts, butter and cream, delicious :)
Taste: dense, creamy and nutty with some citrus hints.
Finish: long, sweet and spicy with coffee liqueur note.
Overall: just very tasty whisky with reasonable price!
Score = 22 22 22 22, 88/100!
