Arran 21 yo Anniversary 52.6% and Mannochmore 25 yo 53.4%

Two samples dating back to this summer.

Arran 21 yo Anniversary Edition 52.6% - matured in ex-sherry hogsheads, 5988 bottles were released.

Nose: sweet and elegant, sherry cask isn't that much dominating, lots of oranges, apricots and honey.

Taste: spicy at first, then the body becomes sweet and creamy.

Finish: long, fruity and spicy, tad salty, hints of almonds, apples and licorice at the end.

Overall: all the components were good, but finish struck me the most. Great malt at a great price.

Score = 22 22 23 22, 89/100!

Arran 21 yo Anniversary Edition 52.6%

Mannochmore 25 yo 1990/2016 53.4% - 3954 bottles released.

Nose: sweet, lots of tropical fruits (pineapples, mangos, tangerines), more wood with time, though after 15 min the nose fades away.

Taste: creamy and sweet, lollipops, coconuts and vanilla.

Finish: medium-long, spicy and woody, a bit dusty.

Overall: a nice malt, though I liked Arran more.

Score = 21.5 22 21.5 22, 87/100!
